Guardcell™ GCWAI-DW Tri-Path Alarm Monitoring & Transmission System

SCSI’s GCWAI-DW Guardcell is a complete supervised wireless primary alarm monitoring system with supervised PSTN back-up. Guardcell™ transmits the signal through high security alarm transmission via the dedicated DirectWireless™ network to the Central Monitoring Station.

Guardcell™ is unaffected by phone line sabotage or failure which is an ongoing problem with phone line based monitoring systems. Guardcell™ is designed to be quick and easy to install and provides for a plug and play installation to existing and new security systems. The unit is completely self contained in its own metal enclosure with power supply and back-up battery.

This-all-in one solution ensures easy installation without being restricted to control panel type or location. Since Guardcell™ DirectWireless™ is designed to meet AS2201.5-1992 Class 4 & 5 Alarm transmission systems, and interfaces to any standard alarm control panel, the product is perfect for any installation and provides the highest level of security.

No need to worry about cut or downed telephone lines. Thanks to the (GSM) Global System for Mobile communications network and GUARDCELL. The digital GSM Mobile network in your area can be used to transmit alarm signals as a primary communications path or as a backup if your telephone lines are sabotaged or out of order. Guardcell can also be used where no PSTN telephone service is available. And don't be concerned about the rising costs and increasing unavailablity of special "dedicated" or supervised landlines for your security system. Guardcell replaces this outdated expensive approach while substantially improving the likelihood that alarm signals will get through. Three transmission paths (Digital GSM- SMS and the standard PSTN telephone line) provide greater probability of successful communication than only one path, no matter how dedicated and supervised that one path may be.

Guardcell uses the existing (GSM-SMS) Global System for Mobile communications (digital mobile phone) network, which operates at an incredibly high level of reliability unlike the (PSTN) Public Switched Telephone Network, which relies on telephone wire lines, GSM digital wireless technology survives weather and maintenance problems that often disrupt the (PSTN) telephone network.

Guardcell connects to your regular telephone line, your existing or new digital dialler alarm system and the Digital GSM Global Standard network. "Normal" everyday communications are over the GSM network with the standard telephone line as backup or visa versa. However, when GUARDCELL senses that the Telephone line has become inoperative, it automatically communicates via the GSM Digital network and notifies the Central Monitoring Station of the fault and or continuous alarm activity. Therefore your alarm system can fully communicate to the Central Monitoring Station, and your premises remains
on line and protected at all times.

Guardcell employs tri-path digital monitoring technology. In other words, should the wireless GSM connection or hardwired telephone line connection become faulty, Guardcell automatically notifies the Central Monitoring Station of the fault condition. Guardcell constantly monitors itself for AC Power Fail, Low Battery, GSM Network Fail, PSTN telephone line fail and Tampering. All Guardcell system fault alarms are relayed to the Central Monitoring Station for action.

You can also use Guardcell for personal and business voice communications where the telephone service is interrupted or not available. Since Guardcell's digital GSM connection has all the capabilities of a standard telephone line, Guardcell can be used as an alternative for voice transmission and many other devices that use telephone lines to communicate.
